Parent/Child Dedication is an opportunity for you to actively dedicate yourself before God, to provide everything necessary for the growth of your child physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually. The importance of raising your child in the discipline of biblical principles and the instruction of the Lord is written in Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 6:6-7 and Ephesians 6:4. This dedication also gives us an opportunity as a church to stand with parents to support and pray for their families.
Fellowship Bible Church defines Parent/Child Dedication as the parental willingness to partner with God and the Church to raise your child. We believe dedication is not a sacrament; it cannot impart grace or salvation to your child. Salvation only comes through Jesus Christ as each person recognizes his or her sinfulness and receives forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. This dedication is a public expression that parents will raise their child in a godly home, with the support of the church. The scriptural root for this type of dedication is found in 1 Samuel 1:27-28 "I prayed for this child, and the Lord granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord."
Parent/Child Dedications are held four times a year on Sunday mornings. A mandatory class for parents is held prior to the dedication (see schedule below).
Announcements about upcoming dedications are published in the Communicator (church bulletin). You may contact the Early Childhood Office to place your child on the list or to find out the dates of upcoming dedications.

• Springdale - November 9th

• Bentonville - Novemver 23rd
